FIRST AID & CPR TRAINING CLASSES:
Hands on first aid, CPR, and AED training programs:

Emergency first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is the most in depth single day first aid courses featured by Interforce International Security Training Centre. This program includes the most basic and common emergencies that individuals might come across including cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies. Students enrolled in this first aid and CPR course also will learn about basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures including choking rescues and the usage of AED’s and barrier devices. Candidates that finish the course will get a Red Cross 1st aid and CPR certificate which is valid throughout Canada for 3 years. Re-certification classes are also available for this course.

Emergency first-aid is comprised of the most basic first aid emergencies that may take place. Below is a brief description of the class content of an emergency first aid, CPR and AED course:

	Basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adult subjects (CPR level “C” involves cardiopulmonary resuscitation for child and infant patients). This includes scene assessment, legal implications of first aid, victim assessment and when to call EMS.
	Respiratory Emergencies. This includes emergencies such as allergic reactions and asthma.
	Cardiovascular system emergencies such as heart attacks and strokes. Candidates will learn to recognize and manage serious circulatory emergencies.
	Skeletal Injuries. These injuries include broken bones, fractures and other bone related injuries. Candidates will learn to recognize, manage and immobilize these injuries.
	Major and minor wound treatment including cuts, scrapes and lacerations.

All of these subject areas are going to be covered in depth in a Red Cross emergency first aid program with “hands on” training using the latest equipment.

Pre-requisites for CPR Training:

None. Anyone who wishes to learn this valuable life saving skill is encouraged to join!

Class Duration:

The length of an emergency first aid training course is dependent upon the number of participants and skill level of the candidates. The level of CPR training partnered with the course can also affect the length of the program. Emergency first aid and CPR lessons vary between 8-10 hours.

Course Fees:

The fee to enroll in our first aid & CPR course is $77.00. Payments are made in person at our office or on-line. We accept cash, cheque, money order, and credit card payments.

Certification & Re-certification:

Individuals that pass emergency 1st aid and CPR will receive a card stating that you have completed the training course. This certificate also states education in CPR and also the use of AED’s. Certificate provided satisfy all government, academic and workplace standards for emergency first aid training.

If you need to renew emergency first aid certification you may be eligible to attend a re-certification class. These kinds of lessons are provided for individuals who have formerly been awarded an emergency first aid, CPR and AED card and would like to renew certification via the Canadian Red Cross.
